Privacy Policy

The short version

• Browsing doesn’t require an account. To post, you sign in with a passkey, an emailed link, or Google / Apple / Facebook.
• Your username and everything you post (sightings, wins, comments, videos, votes on public counts) is public. Your email is not.
• We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t use advertising trackers.
• Passkeys use your device’s Face ID, fingerprint or PIN. Your biometrics never leave your device and we never see them.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, username, chosen player style, and the public key of each passkey you register. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we receive the name, email and profile picture that service shares with us.

What you post. Machine sightings and reports (still here / gone / moved), slots and casinos you add, big-win posts, comments, video links, volatility and bonus-feature votes, jackpot meter readings, favorites, and flags you send to moderators. We also keep a reputation score based on your contributions.

Location. When you report a sighting, your browser may ask to use your location so we can suggest the casino you’re in. That check happens on your device; we don’t store your coordinates. If you add a casino with “I’m at this casino right now,” the coordinates are saved as the casino’s location on the map.

Technical information. When you sign in we store your IP address and browser type with your session to keep accounts secure. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.

Cookies. We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, plus a short-lived cookie during passkey sign-in. These are necessary for the site to work. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To run the site: show machine locations, keep your favorites, and credit your posts to your username.
• To keep it accurate and safe: detect duplicates, rate-limit spam, review flagged content, and enforce our Terms.
• To email you sign-in links you request. We may also email you about important account or policy changes.
• To understand and fix problems with the service.

Who helps us run Reel Radar

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

• Vercel — hosts the website.
• Neon — stores our database (in the United States).
• Resend — sends sign-in and account emails.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — turns a casino’s address into map coordinates when someone adds a casino.
• YouTube (Google) — when players link videos, we look up the title and channel, and video thumbnails load from YouTube’s servers, which can see your IP address.
• Google, Apple, Facebook — only if you choose to sign in with them.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our users or the public, or as part of a sale or transfer of the site (in which case this policy would continue to apply).

What’s public

Your username, profile (reputation, favorites, recent activity) and everything you post are visible to anyone. Please don’t post personal information about yourself or others — including faces of other players, player-club cards, tickets with barcodes or IDs.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you delete it. Unfinished sign-ups are removed after a day. Posts may stay visible after your account is deleted, but they’re no longer linked to you. Moderation records are kept as long as needed to keep the community safe.

Your choices and rights

• Edit your player style and manage your passkeys from your profile.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing support@reelradarslots.com.
• Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights. We honor these requests for everyone, and we won’t treat you differently for using them.

Age requirement

Reel Radar is for adults 21 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Security

We use passkeys instead of passwords, encrypt connections with HTTPS, hash sign-in link tokens, and limit access to our systems. No service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
